Raul Castro and Diaz-Canel preside over the central act for the Day of National Rebellion in Cienfuegos

With the presence of Army General Raul Castro Ruz, leader of the Revolution, and Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, the central act began for July 26, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks.

 Scientists, health workers and the energy sector shared a few words with the attendees, through an audiovisual transition, about their hard work in recent times of crisis due to COVID-19 and the intensification of the United States economic blockade against Cuba.

Members of mass and youth political organizations also meet together with friends of the Revolution, members of the Pastors for Peace and Juan Rius Rivera brigades, and the American Socialism and Liberation Party and the Venceremos Brigade, who these days have exchanged with the Cuban people.

This is the fourth time that the province is worthy of the venue for the National Rebellion Day, the previous ones took place in 1984, 1992 and 1999, stages in which the territory ostensibly advanced.
