Tomas Terry theater will host on the night of this July 25, the artistic gala “Cienfuegos, dreams and hopes”, a prelude to the central commemoration for July 26, the National Rebellion Day, in this territory.
Directed by Roly Martinez Varens, artistic director of the Rafael Lay Music and Show Marketing Company, and with a script by Richard Eleaga Alderete, the evening will show the cultural values of this region of central-southern Cuba.
Conceived for a television time of 57 minutes, with live broadcast on the national screen, the show will pay tribute to Benny More, known as the Sonero Mayor, and the prominent troubadour Lazaro Garcia, who recently passed away.
On a night that promises to delight the public with a great outpouring of patriotism and emotions, talented local artists will give their art to the public, including Doraida Tillet and Ingrid Rodriguez, Concuerda Duo, the Giros company, the Los Naranjos Son Ensemble and the emblematic Orquesta Aragon , founded in Cienfuegos in 1939 and winner of several Granmy Latinos.
With this activity the “Terry”, built in the 19th century and declared a national monument, officially reopens its doors after almost four years of a complete restoration, and after having hosted the 9th edition of Alternative Music Festival.
