Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel leads a government visit to the central province of Villa Clara.
Announcing the visit on his Twitter profile, the Cuban president said that he will meet with agricultural producers and new entrepreneurs. It is always helpful to hear firsthand how economic measures are implemented, their benefits and obstacles. We will also visit a neighborhood, he added.
These periodic governmental visits make it possible to evaluate the progress of prioritized programs in the country, including food production, local self-sufficiency, housing, governmental links with the population, the application of science and innovation, and to learn first-hand about the problems.
