Cuba reports 47 new cases of COVID-19 and 36 medical discharges

At the close of this Wednesday, Cuba reported 47 new cases of COVID-19 for a total of 3,806 since March; no deaths and 36 medical discharges, Dr. Francisco Duran Garcia, national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), reported this Thursday at a press conference.

During the day, 4,549 samples were studied in Cuba in all the molecular biology laboratories of the country, for a cumulative of 377,494 tests carried out since the beginning of the pandemic.

The total number of cases registered since last March amounts to 3,806 (1.01%). The expert explained that 1,024 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical-epidemiological surveillance, 29 under surveillance, 478 suspects and 517 confirmed active.

Of the 3 thousand 806 patients diagnosed with the disease, 517 (13.4%) remain confirmed, 496 96% with stable clinical evolution. 92 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuees, 36 discharges of the day, 3,195 recovered patients accumulate.

Six patients in critical condition and 15 in serious condition are reported.
