South African government supports the Cuban Five
South
Africa, Jan 29. - On the occasion of the celebration of the 51
Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma,
Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of South Africa expressed
the support of her country to the Cuban Five.
Dr. Zuma, who represented the government of South Africa at the
function hosted by the Embassy of Cuba on January 28, reiterated the
strong commitment of South Africa to Cuba in its struggle for the
immediate release of the Cuban Five, emphasizing they have been in
jail for over eleven years.
The Minister concluded her speech saying that South Africa will
continue alongside with Cuba and she quoted Antonio Guerrero “in all
the struggles for justice, dignity, peace and the brotherhood of all
the peoples, in a nutshell, is the struggle for a better world that
can no be deferred”.
