MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF CIENFUEGOS

Countrymen of the union of people of Cienfuegos living in Havana:

Dear friends,

It coincides that in month of November our faked trial began and now we have made the final written presentation of our appeal to the court of Atlanta. Three years have passed between one fact and the other one, the judicial process began in the 2000 and the appeal we present it in the 2003. Now we only have to wait for the results that this Court of Appeal decides; a limit date to emit the verdicts doesn't exist.

I can tell you that the presented appeal, as the answer to the document of the office is extremely solid, able to destroy the fabricated positions that the government engendered, based on the manipulation of the evidence, for a jury of the city of Miami. And I can express you that every day of unjust confinement is a day of accusation to the double moral of the politics of the empire against the terrorism and it is a day in which our stability and our conviction in the victory of the reason and of the solidarity grow.

Every day we add new siblings to this fair battle, siblings from Cuba and its cause and for that reason every day is a day of victory. Many letters that encourage and strengthen us are still arriving to us.

I share with you this letter sent to many friends. You should know that I had the occasion to know and to share with Fernando García Bielsa, it was an unforgettable encounter of siblings and revolutionary people. I let him count you one day. Here I send you a picture together.

I wanted to have had a copy of the message that I sent to the people of Cienfuegos the last September 5 and of some poems that I also wrote, but I already sent them to my mother. Perhaps with her or with the government of Cienfuegos you can get this copy that I hope it offers you satisfaction.
