"Year of the Five Cuban
Political
Prisoners in United States"
To: Dear
people of Cienfuegos
Provincial
Comunist Party.
54 Ave. No. 3929, Cienfuegos, Cuba
Partners:
I read with satisfaction and a lot of pleasure your
deep letter, even more, with the high pride for the honor that you
confer us in each sentence, and in each expression.
I want to say to you that all that we are and we have
been, all that we will always be, we owe it to you, to the giant
work of that inviolable Revolution, to the effort and sacrifice in
life and hard sweating of generations of Cuban and patriots that
gave their best to see this present and glorious future of our
Homeland, and that, therefore, it is you, to all our beloved people,
to who fits all that glory.
We men are only the result of our countries and our
histories, where they are worked, in ivory and fine granite, the
memory of battles and combats, of tempered generations in the poured
blood, and the perspiration of all our sacrifices that make of a
giant structure the dimension of our Homeland.
It
must never be expected a small work
from
countries like ours
and
histories like the one it writes,
but glory and giant
virtue, acording, simply, to the immense statue that it has carved.
Therefore, it is ours, the pride and the honor of
belonging to this country, to this history, and of being part of the
Homeland that you dignify.
To each of you, the affection and appreciation of
these five Cubans.
Ramón Labañino Salazar.
