The Agricultural Cooperative Romerico Cordero Garce, located in Venta del Rio, Cienfuegos, received this Sunday to the Friendship Caravan US-Cuba organized by Pastors for Peace, and leaded by its executive director Gail Walker.

From Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Arizona, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Mexico and Canada, arrived 34 caravaners in Cienfuegos, representing the American people, who declare their admiration and solidarity with Cuba.

On this occasion, the visitors shared with the members of the Asociacion Nacional de Agricultores Pequeños (National Association of Small Farmers)(ANAP by its Spanish acronym) days of voluntary work in the planting of corn and coconut, and exchanged with farmers to learn more about Cuban people and strengthen the brotherhood between both peoples.

Pastors for Peace members, who visit Cienfuegos, made a delivery of a small donation of tools, clothes, among others present to their hosts, as sign of support and condemnation of the United States administration blockade and Chapter III, of the Helms-Burton law.

Besides this exchange with farmers, the caravaners are also planned to visit Cienfuegos Thermoelectric Plant, Gustavo Aldereguia Lima Hospital, facilities and areas of Cienfuegos historical center recently restored because of Fernandina de Jagua foundation bicentennial.

They will also visit in the municipality of Pamira the Religious Society Santa Barbara with official reception and the House of Orientation to Women and the Family.
