The Central American migrants, who were illegally transported in four vehicles by six human traffickers who were arrested, traveled in precarious and danger conditions to their physical integrity.
The Government of Veracruz said in a statement that the State Police located four vehicles on the Minatitlan-Acayucan highway, which were subject to a protocol search, and 60 Central American people were rescued.
According to the report, 29 of which are men, nine are women and 22 are children. The document states that of six detainees, three are from the state of Chiapas.
This action is part of the ‘United for the Construction of Peace in Veracruz’ program, where the Secretariats of National Defense, Mexico’s Armed Forces and Navy and Public Security are participating, along with the Federal Police.
