Yoany Avalos Rodriguez, bartender of Cienfuegos Yatch Club´ restaurant-cafe, represents this province in the Xth Edition of the International Varadero Gourmet Festival, which takes place at the Plaza America Convention Center, until this Friday, June 29.
After a rigorous selection through competitions, the Palmares Branch of the Cienfuegos territory managed to classify with a third place in the category of cold starters, potatoes and appetizers, and with a second layer of Cuban rums, represented precisely by Yoany Avalos Rodriguez.
Varadero Gourmet is focused on enhancing traditional Cuban cuisine and promoting the knowledge exchange among professionals from around the country on Gastronomy, cocktails and related services, determining the competitiveness of tourist destinations.
As explained to RCM Radio by Ana Ibis Torres Cuellar, specialist of Gastronomic Services in Palmares, there also contested at the festival representing Cienfuegos, the chef Jose Joaquin Lazo Bernal, and the pastry chef Carlos Antonio Ramos Curbelo, both workers of Cienfuegos Yatch Club.
